Red triangle earrings Japanese Lacquer

Description

Handmade Red triangle earrings made of sterling silver and red lacquer Japanese. I love modern art and these earrings are inspired by this time, a type of piece made with delicately balanced and geometric shapes. The technique used in this modern and unique piece is Cashew Japanese Lacquer. In this sense, the Japanese lacquer ware is a traditional and decorative art used to decorate a wide variety of objects and jewels.

The red triangle earrings japanese lacquer has  many layers of lacquer that have been carved and polished to a high sheen. Over metal base is formed into the desired shape, and then multiple layers of colored lacquer are applied. Because of the properties of the sap, the lacquer hardens rather then dries.  Creating a piece of Japanese lacquer is a very labor intensive process, but all the time and hard work results in a wonderful and truly unique piece of jewelry.
