This is a beautiful and unique piece of Cashew Japanese Lacquer jewelry. This Japanese Lacquer is a traditional and decorative art used to embellish a wide variety of objects and jewels. The Round Ring Pendant Necklace have many layers of lacquer that have been carved and polished to a high sheen. The process includes the Nashizi technique for placing silver flakes with an effect of blurring on the surface of the pendant.

A Cooper base is formed in the desired shape, and then multiple layers of colored lacquer are applied. Because of the properties of the sap, the lacquer hardens rather then dries. Creating a piece of Japanese lacquer is a very labor intensive process, but all the time and hard work results in a wonderful and truly unique piece of Art Japanese jewelry.
