Silver Cicada Earrings

Description

Insects fascinate me, for this reason I have decided to create my own Silver Cicada Earrings. Original and contemporary at the same time, these insect earrings are handmade in sterling silver and black patina.

A stylised cicada, with a nature look design are these silver earrings. Earrings have been oxidised to give more depth to it, and show the engravings on the wings. I really like insects, their shapes and colors are endless and dazzling.

I am intrigued by insects whose life cycles take them through multiple transformations. Some cicadas spend 17 years incubating in the ground before they are hatched, eventually molting into beautiful flying creatures.

In ancient times, this insect was the symbol of immortality, youthfulness and made one’s appearance always young forever. The cicada is also being regarded as a symbol of good fortune because of its ability to sing throughout day and night. Its never ending singing ability is the greatest emblem of unlimited energy.

Los insectos me fascinan, por esta razón he decidido crear mis propios Pendientes Cigarras de Plata. Originales y contemporáneos al mismo tiempo, estos pendientes están hechos a mano en plata esterlina y pátina negra.

Una cigarra estilizada, con un diseño de apariencia natural son el focus principal de estos pendientes de plata. Los pendientes insecto se han oxidado para darle más profundidad y mostrar los grabados en las alas.

Me gustan mucho las cigarras, sus formas y colores infinitos. Me intrigan los insectos cuyos ciclos de vida los llevan a través de múltiples transformaciones. Algunas cigarras pasan 17 años incubando en el suelo antes de que nazcan, eventualmente mudando en hermosas criaturas voladoras.

En la antigüedad, este insecto era el símbolo de la inmortalidad, la juventud e hizo que la apariencia siempre fuese joven para siempre. La cigarra también se considera como un símbolo de buena fortuna debido a su capacidad de cantar durante el día y la noche. Su capacidad de canto sin fin es el mejor emblema de la ilimitada energía.
